As a therapy dog team member, you’ll deepen the special bond you share with your dog while bringing comfort, companionship, and stress relief to people who need it most. From hospitals and schools to senior centers and community spaces, you’ll have the opportunity to touch countless lives through the power of animal-assisted therapy. Along the way, you’ll become part of a caring community of passionate volunteers who share a love for dogs and a desire to spread joy wherever they go.
Age & Ownership: Dogs must be at least 1 year old, and handlers must have owned their dog for at least 6 months.
AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC): A current CGC Certificate is required. The test may be administered by an AKC-certified trainer or our volunteer, Allen.

Application: Complete the online application and upload your vaccination records and CGC certification.
Our 2-hour therapy dog training, mentored visit, and certification are $125.
